It's been a crazy ride this past couple of months! To refresh....
1. May 1st, Graduated as a Registered Nurse
2. June 12th, NCLEX RN
3. June 22nd, First job as an RN
4. July, no more public assistance for me!
5. August, decide it's time to be a big girl and buy my own home.
6. August, must buy new car before new home....long story....
7. September, decide it would be best to move in with Mom until house purchase is complete (saves rent).
8. September, decide I love my mommy and want her to live in my new home with me. (Saves both of us money.)
9. September, somewhere near the end, find a list of goals written before starting LPN year, realize I have successfully completed all of my goals (save for marriage which lets face it, probably not gonna happen) and some of which before their deadlines!
10. October under contract on my cute little home with lots of property.
11. October 28th, papers signed, officially a home owner. Being in debt, it's the American way.
12. October 29th, I got my keys! First night in my new house all by myself (probably last time that will
happen for a very long time....sigh....)
13. October 30th & 31st, move in all the boys', mine, and my mom's things.
14. Did I mention the giant cowdog we got? Yeah well WOW!
Ok well that should get you to the most recent happenings...I am still loving my job. I DESPISE unpacking and finding a home for everything. I have made a vow that I will NEVER move again! My mom isn't allowed to either. I have plenty of land so we will just build on!
Now that we are refreshed....here is what has happened the last few days with my wonderful home.
1. Yeah there are 2+ CAT5 connections in every room of my house, but is there a goddamn phone jack?! What about a cable connection?! Are you serious?!
2. Holes have been drilled, I now have Dish Network. Thank gods! I wouldn't know what to do without my DVR'd TrueBlood!
3. Spiders....lots....basically everywhere.....thank gods for vaccuum cleaners with extensions! I have vaccuumed many a spider, and now my home is spiderless. Ortho man, I will be calling!
4. Mud....Boys love it....mom not so much....
5. Yeah so I come home after a weekend of moving to find....drumroll please....I herd of cattle crossing the road by my home. At first I think "oh, cute little cows, how sweet" and then I see the cows in my side yard! So NOT cute any longer! Must remember to bring big gun to new house.....
6. Oh yeah, so my realtor, the title company and the previous owner conveniently "forget" to mention that my 1.85 acres of property is home to a historic cattle trail! Meaning I cannot kill the cattle on my land, and that I have to let them through. (More on this later!)
7. Must file claim against title insurance.
8. Yay! The dishwasher leaks! Thank gods for home insurance!
Wow! Life has definitely reached the fast lane! How do I get back over? :) Nah, just kidding I am loving how my life is going, the boys are happy, I am happy, and life is generally happy, a bit more fast paced, but it'll slow eventually....right?
